Cusat student found dead in pvt hostel room

Kochi: A third-year student at the electrical and electronics engineering (EEE) department of Cochin University of Science and Technology (Cusat), was found dead in a private hostel room near the university on Wednesday night. The deceased has been identified as Dhanush D, a native of Kumarapuram in Alappuzha.According to preliminary information, he was found hanging. The university authorities have not confirmed the exact cause of his death. "It appears to be a case of suicide by hanging. The body is currently on the hostel premises and will soon be shifted to the Medical College Hospital in Kalamassery," a student from the EEE department said. Kalamassery police have registered a case and initiated an investigation.
