Coronavirus in Kerala: MBBS student isolated in Alappuzha

ALAPPUZHA: An MBBS student of Alappuzha Medical College was admitted in the isolation ward of Alappuzha Medical College Hospital (MCH) on Tuesday after he showed the symptoms of coronavirus infection.


The sources with the MCH told TOI that he and his other seven classmates conducted a road trip to Cardamom Hills in Idukki and they rode their two-wheelers over 175km.

“They started their trip on March 13 without the permission of the college authorities. After they returned to the college, one of them showed the symptoms of Covid-19. His other seven classmates are under observation. The sample of the admitted student will be sent for testing soon,” said the sources.
