Kochi: A senior civil police officer (CPO) attached to Perumbavoor ASP office was transferred pending an enquiry for suspected unauthorised use of the senior officer's email account.

Subsequently, an inquiry was held, and Sharnas was transferred as a preliminary action, sources said. Further departmental action will be initiated if the inquiry confirms that the officer committed the offence, said sources.
