The others in the chargesheet are

Biju C Cheriyan

, E P George, K M Varkey and A J Rajan. They have been charged with criminal breach of trust.

The accused had allegedly transferred Rs 2.38 crore from the accounts of KCCI and

Kerala Trade Centre

(KTC) to the account of

India Middle East Broadcasting

Network Pvt Ltd, on different occasions between December 2012 and March 2014.

The transfer was against the decision taken in the annual general body and board meetings of KCCI. The transactions were not mentioned in the account statement and balance sheet of KCCI in 2012-13 and 2013-14 financial years. Also, KCCI had not entered into any share agreement with India Middle East Broadcasting regarding the launch of the channel.

The chargesheet was submitted by DSP P P Shams before judicial first class magistrate court-I, Ernakualm in August.

It was based on a petition filed by M K Ansari, former vice-chairman of KCCI, the Ernakulam central police registered a case in the matter in May, 2015.
