Kochi: Justice C K Abdul Rahim has been appointed as acting Chief Justice of the
Kerala high court in view of present Chief Justice Hrishikesh Roy’s appointment as a Supreme Court judge.
According to a notification issued by the ministry of law and justice, the President has appointed Justice C K Abdul Rahim, the senior most judge of the Kerala high court, as the acting Chief Justice with effect from the date Justice Hrishikesh Roy relinquishes the charge as Chief Justice of Kerala high court consequent upon his appointment as a judge of Supreme court of India.
Justice Rahim began his stint as a judge in the Kerala high court as additional judge in January 2009 and went on to be appointed as permanent judge with effect from Dec 15, 2010. A graduate from the Government Law College, Ernakulam, he was enrolled in 1983 and started practising at Ernakulam in civil and criminal cases in high court and subordinate courts, including all types of appeals and writ petitions.
