AMMA general body meet held

Kochi: The annual general body meeting of Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA) was held in Kochi on Sunday. AMMA president Mohanlal launched the new digital ID card of AMMA by handing over it to actor Mammootty. The general body has decided to give membership to artists Vijayan Karanthoor, Binu Pappu, Salim Bhava, Sanju Shivaram, Sreeja Ravi and Nikhila Vimal. Meanwhile, the application seeking membership by actor Sreenath Bhasi has been put on hold. A decision on the application will be taken only after getting no-objection certificates from other organizations in the film field. Some of the film organizations had banned Bhasi as part of disciplinary action against him. The next annual general body meeting of the association will be held on June 30, 2024. tnn
