A kiss is bliss but a nightmare for this boy

KOCHI: After his 15-year-old girlfriend texted him at midnight on Sunday, promising him any number of kisses if he came immediately, a 17-year-old sneaked out of his house, stole his dad’s car and raced to her house a few kilometres away at Puthencruz.
His romantic rendezvous, however, failed to materialise the way he anticipated. At around 1.30 am, as he was driving down empty roads he suddenly encountered a police patrol.The boy tried to take an interior road, where he found another police patrol. Panicking, he reversed the car only to ram an electric post. He then reversed again but this time rammed into the concrete wall of a house. He abandoned the car and started running. He scaled a couple of walls and leaped over another only to land in a well. The boy had to spend a few hours cooling his heels there before the fire force came and rescued him -- an experience bound to douse any further passion in this unfortunate teenager. We can only wonder what ‘message’ his girlfriend got from all this.
