12-year-old boy found hanging In Palakkad

Kochi: A 12-year-old boy was found hanging in the bathroom of his house in Palakkad on Thursday morning. The deceased has been identified as Viswajith, 12, son of Sivaprasad, of Pokkanthod, Elapully. He went for a bath in the morning. After noticing that he was taking too long, his parents checked on him but there was no response. They then broke open the door and found him dead, hanging using a towel.Palakkad Kasaba police registered an FIR for unnatural death and began an investigation. Police said they received information that the boy was denied permission for football training, and he was upset over the same. However, a detailed probe is on to find the exact reason for the boy taking the extreme step, police said.Police said there were no other suspicions regarding the death, and the body will be handed over to the kin after an autopsy.
