KANPUR: The fifth day of KanpurMahotsava
on Thursday was dedicated to youth. The administrative officials discussed reasons of growing aggressiveness among youth and taught them how to be graceful and courteous. Hundreds of youngsters attended a seminar on the occasion. Many speakers said that aggression and violence is increasing among the people of all ages, particularly youngsters and it could be controlled best within the family.
Addressing the youth, additional commissioner
Rajiv Sharma said that parents should focus on upbringing and take steps to reduce generation gap so that children could talk and share their feelings with them freely.
He added that aggression and violence start from the family and increase at the educational and the community levels.
"Teachers have to be careful that they do not indulge in violent behavior against children. Parents and family members are the ones who have the responsibility as they have to pay more attention to the child whenever he/she shows violent behavior," Sharma said.
Talking about the family bond, city magistrate Avinash Singh said that every family must try to maintain its meaning by creating bond with each other. "Do not blame or start scolding your ward in case you find them doing anything wrong. Pacify them with satisfactory answers," he added.
Hundreds of boys and girls attended the seminar and discussed their problems with the officials.
The visitors also enjoyed delicacies at the food court of the mahotsava.
The complaint registrations and redressal process also continued. Anticipating a huge crowd on the last day, the organizers remained quite busy.
