Young athletes shine in Republic Day events

Kanpur: Amit Pal and Maya Maurya clinched victory in boys and girls open cross-country race organised at Green Park on the occasion of Republic Day.
Amit Pal secured first position in 5 kms race whilst Maya triumphed in 3 kms race. Lakshya Kumar and Raj Nandini emerged victorious in under-12 boys and girls events organised by the Regional Sports Office Green Park.
In Table Tennis, Shubh Tiwari, Adhiraj Majumdar, Dhaval Tiwari, Ahlan and Kanishk Tewatia emerged victorious in their respective categories.
In Volleyball, Police Line team secured the championship whilst Green Park finished as runners-up.
