Workshop held at IIT-K

Kanpur: A one-day workshop on Standardization and Conformity Assessment was jointly held by the Advanced Centre for Materials Science (ACMS), INAE Kanpur Chapter and Materials Advantage Student Chapter at IIT- Kanpur, as part of collaboration between Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) and IIT-K.Professor Anish Upadhyaya (head ACMS) welcomed the participants and highlighted the need to have well-structured product and process standards. Chairman, INAE, Kanpur Chapter, Yogesh Joshi also welcomed the delegates. Jayanta Roy Chowdhury, formerly Deputy Director General and currently serving as Consultant at BIS highlighted the need for standards and their benefits and shared details of recently formulated Standards National Action Plan (SNAP). tnn
