Woman accuses UPSRTC chief clerk of molesting her

Kanpur: A woman, resident of Govind Nagar has filed a report at the Nawabganj police station against the chief clerk of the Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC), accusing him of molesting her.She alleges that after her complaint to the police was ignored, she sought help from the court, which led to the registration of a case against the accused.The woman in her FIR stated that after her husband's death, she was employed as a class four employee at the regional manager's office of the Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation in Vikas Nagar as a dependent of the deceased. She alleged that on October 5, 2023, the chief clerk grabbed her with ill intentions in an isolated area during duty hours.The accused attempted to assault her while behaving obscenely. She raised an alarm after which the people present in the office rescued her. The accused then left, threatening her.
