Winners of voters awareness slogan contest awarded

KANPUR: Prerit Pandey won the voters awareness slogan contest held during the Assembly elections recently.
In a function held at Radio Mirchi office in Civil Lines, additional district magistrate Akhilesh Mishra presented a certificate to him. Nikita Mishra and Saba, who stood second and third and ten other contestants were also felicitated. The district election office had organized a slogan contest to create awareness among voters.R Prabhakar and other staff members of the radio were present on the occasion.
Union Bank employees hold dharna: Scores of employees of Union Bank demonstrated under the banner of Union Bank staff Association on Tuesday to lodge protest against the dictatorial attitude of assistant general manager and assistant manager (work) at Parmat and CMS branches of the bank.
Secretary of the association PN Shukla alleged that the management pays no heed to the grievances of the employees. A meeting was held on December 12 last year in which in was decided to redress the problems of the staff but no action was taken.
The management is flouting the provision of Industrial Act 1947, he added.
