KANPUR: An undertrial named as Munna Badri managed to escape from court on Monday.
This is the second such incident in 48 hours. Badri, a history-sheeter of Barabanki district was summoned by the additional district and sessions judge regarding the hearing of a murder case registered with Chamanganj police. Constable Dhruv Singh brought Munna from sessions court lock-up at 11am.

Thereafter both disappeared. The delay attracted the attention of police officials posted on the court campus. They informed the seniors. Later in the evening, Dhruv Singh came and informed that Munna had escaped. A case was lodged against the cop.
Two undertrials identified as Chand alias Rahmat Ali and Sunil alias Sanju managed to escape on Saturday after offering liquor to constable Jitendra, who was taking them back from the court. The three sit in a corner and consumed liquor. When Jitendra lost his senses, the two escaped from the site. Sunil was spotted by the cops and they caught him while Chand could not be traced.
A case was lodged against the cop and undertrials.
