Two arrested for attacking Apna Dal rally

Kanpur: Tobo Shikari and Shivang Thakur, the two associates of history-sheeter Ajay Thakur of Barra police station, absconding after attacking the bike rally of Apna Dal (S) in Kanpur, were arrested by the police on Saturday. Both of them were arrested from near their house in Barra.The two were carrying a reward of Rs 25,000 each. At the same time, the police have also put all their efforts in searching for history-sheeter Ajay Thakur, carrying a reward of Rs 1 lakh and his other associates. According to sources, the police are trying to force the accused to surrender by pressuring them to take attachment action. On the other hand, a team of Barra police went to Amritsar in Punjab in search of history-sheeter Ajay, but before that he had managed to flee.Inspector Barra Dinesh Singh Bisht said that both Tobo Shikari and Shivang Thakur have been arrested near Vaishno Mata Temple in Damodar Nagar. “The other accused will be arrested soon”, he claimed. To recall, a case was registered against history-sheeter Ajay Thakur of Barra police station and his associates Shivang Thakur, Abhay Bhadauria, Akash Dwivedi, Sahil Sonkar alias Shera and Gautam Moga under various sections.They have been on the run since then.
