Kanpur: A case has been lodged against a city tour operator for fraud after it declined to refund the moneyu following cancellation of a trip to Jammu and Kashmir. A tourist from Aryanagar, Jagesh Agrawal, booked a holiday package to Jammu and Kashmir through a travel agency, paying Rs 3.50 lakh for a trip from April 24 to 30. Following the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jagesh requested cancellation and refund to which the agency's director, Ravi Chauhan, declined despite prior assurances. Inspector Awadhesh Kumar of Kohna police station said a case was lodged against Ravi Chauhan and other employees of the agency. "We have filed charges including fraud, criminal breach of trust, intimidation, and other related offences," he said. tnn
