Army jawan dies in accident in J&K

Kanpur: Jeet Kumar, an army jawan from Lukatpura village in Farrukhabad's Mohammadabad area died after an army truck skid off the road and overturned in Kulgam district of Jammu and Kashmir. The truck was carrying rations. Jeet Kumar (35) died while 13 others, including a Major and four civilans were injured in the accident. Jeet's father Surendra Singh said that an army officer informed them about the incident on phone. Being the eldest among four brothers, Jeet joined the Rajputana Regiment in 2015 and served as a driver in the army's ASC Corps. He was stationed in Ladakh, where his duties involved managing the supply of rations.In 2007, Jeet married Sarita Rajput, daughter of Munna Fauji from Behta village in the Jahan Ganj police station area. The couple had two children. Jeet's mother Ganga Shri, and his wife were inconsolable on getting the news.
