Kanpur: Elaborate security arrangements have been made for the proposed public meeting to be addressed by
PM Narendra Modi. The PM will address a public meeting at Akbarpur in Kanpur Dehat on Monday.
According to sources, three helipads have been built near
Shahzadpur
ground where the trial of landing
Army helicopters is being done. A team comprising SP,
ADM
and the bomb disposal squad also checked the security arrangements, the sources added. Media in-charge of BJP’s local unit
Vikas Mishra
said that all preparations for the PM’s programme have been completed. Besides three helipads built nearby, a 60 foot wide and 30 foot long stage has been prepared at Shahzadpur ground. Preparations are being made to land all the three helicopters, he added.
Meanwhile, a senior district official told TOI that entry into the venue of the meeting would be allowed only after people show their RT PCR test report. “Besides the PM, about 30 people are likely to be present on the stage. They have been asked to take the RT PCR corona test. They will not be allowed to sit on the stage without getting their RT PCR test report verified,” he said.
