Thieves steal ₹8.5L from car showroom

Kanpur: Thieves targeted the Hyundai showroom located in Ruma under the limits of Maharajpur police station and escaped with Rs 8.5 lakh cash on the intervening night of Monday and Tuesday.
As soon as the incident came to light, the Maharajpur police along with a dog squad and forensic experts reached the spot and started investigations. The police team also procured CCTV footage of the showroom to nail down the miscreants.On the other hand, the police have picked up a few suspects and are questioning them for a breakthrough. According to general manager of Hyundai showroom Vijay Talreja, four thieves on Monday night broke open the rear side of the wall of the showroom and reached the vault room, taking away cash worth Rs 8.50 lakh. The incident was captured in the CCTV camera installed at the showroom.
In the CCTV footage, thieves can be seen stealing cash from the vault. ACP Chakeri Amarnath Yadav said on the basis of the complaint of the general manager, a case is being registered against the unknown thieves and investigations are underway on the basis of the CCTV footage.ded. TNN
