South Africa team reaches Kanpur

The team of South Africa and some members of West Indies and Indian teams arrived in the city on Thursday to participate in the first phase of the Road Safety World series of cricket match slated to be played here at Green Park stadium from September 10 to 17.

Kanpur: The team of South Africa and some members of West Indies and Indian teams arrived in the city on Thursday to participate in the first phase of the Road Safety World series of cricket match slated to be played here at Green Park stadium from September 10 to 17.
As per the practice schedule, the Sri Lanka team reached Green Park for practice. They practiced here for around two and half hours.

In the evening session, Sachin Tendulkar, Yuvraj Singh, Suresh Raina, Munaf Patel, Vinay kumar, Stuart Binny, Naman Ojha,Yusuf Pathan, Rahul Sharma , Manpreet Gony, Rajesh Powar ad Pragyan Ojha spent their time at net under flood light.
Indian legends will play with South Africa legends in the inaugural match on September 10. The South African team, after arriving, preferred to rest and will go for their practices on Friday. The Indian team too will reach Green Park for their practices in morning session.
According to the media incharge, Ajit some more players including Jonry Rhodes, Thandi Tshabala, Alviro Peterson, Zander De Brun , Jacques Rudolph,,Eddie Leie, Johan Van Der Wath, Garnett Krugger, Makhaya Nitini, Henry David, Lloyd Norris, Andrew Puttick will arruve on Friday. Meanwhile, preparations for the series are being made at Green Park.
