Sigma XI drub Anandeshwar Polypack by 4 wickets in final of JNT U-12 cricket

Kanpur: Sigma XI outplayed Anandeshwar Polypack team by 4 wickets in the final of JNT U-12 cricket tournament played under floodlights at the Green Park stadium and won the Sigma Griplock trophy on Sunday evening.
Anandeshwar Polypack, decided to bat first in daylight and posted a total of 153 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in 25 overs. Captain Arpit Giri once again played a fine unbeaten knock of 79 runs in 61 balls.Sumit Pal also chipped unbeaten 22 runs. Yash Gupta of Sigma XI bagged 2 wickets for 25 runs. In reply, Sigma XI scored 157 runs for the loss of 6 wickets and won the match. Pratyush Pandey,Yuvraj Singh and Pranav Chadha were the main scorers who scored 38, 28 and 33 runs respectively. For Anandeshwar Polypack, Sumit Pal picked 3 wickets for 25 runs.

The final tie was inaugurated by Anuj Goyal, chief executive officer of Cantonment Board. Sanjay Kapoor, Arvind Srivastava (secretary UPCA) Riyasat Ali (director UPCA), Mudrika Pathak, deputy director sports directorate and Naveen Jain gave away the trophy and prizes to the teams.
Arpit Giri was adjudged as man of the tournament as he had scored 505 runs in 7 innings. Pranav Chadha and Viraj Chirval were adjudged as best batsman and bowler respectively. Sanjay Tiwari proposed the vote of thanks. Ahmad Ali Khan conducted the prize distribution function.
