"The new facility is eco-friendly and a customer has no need to fill any form or append any signature," he added.
The SBI came into existence on July 1, 1956 when the Imperial Bank was converted into the State Bank of India. Beside opening of the green channel counter, sapling plantation on main building campus, health camp and distribution of gifts and sweets at orphanage were also held on the occasion. Ajay Srivastava, another SBI official, informed that the bank had adopted 27 girl students and was responsible for their complete academic expenditure, including fee.
Later in the evening, a quiz was organised in which bank employees, customers and pensioners participated. Senior bank officials were also present on the occasion.
