Kanpur: Rovers club clinched victory in the Pt Dinesh Mishra Memorial T-20 cricket tournament, defeating Diamond Club by 35 runs in the final at Kanpur South ground on Saturday.
Batting first, Rovers Club amassed 191 runs in 20 overs. Faiz Ahmad and Sarthak Lohia were the principal scorers, contributing 68 and 72 runs respectively. For Diamond Club, Suvrat Prasad Tiwari claimed 3 wickets for 31 runs. In response, Diamond Club managed 156 runs for the loss of 9 wickets. Arjun Dubey scored the highest with 37 runs whilst Adesh Kumar secured 4 wickets for 35 runs.

Inter-school badminton - Shreyas Jha (Jai Narayan Vidya Mandir) and Ardhay Mishra (Nurture International school) secured the Under-9 boys and girls titles respectively at the inter-school junior badminton championship concluded at Allen house public school, Panki, Kanpur on Saturday.
The championship, organised in three groups Under-9, 11 and 13 years, was an open event with participation from more than eighteen schools.
