RK Sharma new prez of lawyers association

Kanpur: Ravindra Kumar Sharma and Sharad Kumar Shukla have been elected as president and general secretary respectively of The Lawyers Association, one of the premier advocate associations of Kanpur court, late Wednesday evening.
Sharma who was among the five contestants defeated his nearest rival Shyam Narayan Singh by a margin of 201 votes. Sharma got support of 1,594 members while Shyam Narayan Singh got 1,393 votes.Ramesh Chandra Verma and Surendra Kumar Pandey got third and fourth places with 546 and 484 votes.
Sharad Kumar Shukla emerged as the winner for the general secretary’s post. He got 1,685 votes against Abhishek Tiwari who obtained support of 829 votes. Rajiv Yadav got third place with 756 votes.
During the counting of Thursday Madhur Sahu was elected as joint secretary administration. Braj Narayan Nishad was elected as junior vice president And Sarvendra Kumar Yadav was elected as senior vice president.
