Rehan, Aishani in next round of badminton championship
Kanpur: Top seeded Rehan Siddiqui of Jhansi and Aishani Singh of Kanpur drubbed their rivals and moved into the next round of Yonex Sunrise First UP State U-19 Junior Major badminton championship being played at the Badminton Hall of Green Park.Rehan Siddiqui outplayed Ayan Ansari (Ayodhya) by 30-17 and Aishani Singh humbled Ayushi Yadav of Meerut by 30-24. Skanda Pandey of Lucknow defeated second seeded Siddhi Kumar Rathi of Meerut by 30-17.Earlier in the morning, divisional commissioner Lokesh MG, Mrigank Shekhar Pathak (ADCP), Ranjit Kumar ( ACP) and Mudrika Pathak, deputy director sports, Siddhanath Gupta (principal BNSD Inter College), Santram Dwivedi (Anand Kumar), Ramandeep Singh, director, Guru Gobind Singh Sports Academy inaugurated the second day's proceedings.
