Pranjal Singh wins U-17 title at Billabong Chess meet

Kanpur: Pranjal Singh of Dr VSEC School clinched the Under-17 boys’ title at the Billabong Chess Championship held at the school premises in Shanti Nagar on Sunday.

A total of 78 players participated in the tournament, which was conducted over five rounds across multiple age categories, including Under-8, Under-11, Under-15, and Under-17.

The event concluded with a prize distribution ceremony, where senior national arbiter Prashansa Verma awarded certificates and trophies to the winners.
