Olympic Club wins by huge margin of 160 runs

KANPUR: All rounder Ram Singh’s performance--25 runs and 4 wickets--helped Olympic Regd Club to beat Rolland Club by a huge margin of 160 runs at Kanpur South ground on Thursday.
Olympic Club, batting first, posted a total of 232 for 8 in 40 overs. Raja Mukherji was their highest scorer with 69 runs. Saurabh Singh and Ashish Singh contributed 34 and 22 runs respectively.For Rolland Club, Nikhil Singh picked 3 wickets while Ayush Shukla and Tarun Shukla both captured two wickets each.
Rolland Club in reply crashed on mere 72 runs in 26 overs. Their eight batsmen could not reach the double figure. Sarthak Agarwal and Nirbhay Singh chipped 24 and 19 runs respectively. Besides Ram Singh, Himansu Yadav and Ashish Singh scalped 2 wickets each for Olympic Club.
Cantonment Lions in another match played at RLS Stadium outplayed Kanpur Club by 17 runs and earned full points. All rounder Nishant Kushwaha and Adarsh Srivastava played a significant role in the win of their team. Nishant scored 21 runs and picked 3 wickets while Adarsh hit 55 runs and scalped 4 wickets. Cantonment Lions, batting first, scored 152
runs thereafter they wapped Kanpur C Club’s inning on 135 runs.
First Flight in another match played at HAL ground humbled UPSIDC by 53 runs and earned one bonus point too. First Flight, deciding to bat first, scored 215 for 5 in 30 overs. Dharmendra Singh, Nayab Alam, PS Negi and IB Sahu were the main scorers, and they hit 38,50,25 and 44 n.o. runs respectively. Arshad Halim bagged 2 wickets. UPSIDC in reply could collect 162 runs and lost the match. Sanjay Yadav (78) and Mansoor (24) were the main scorers.
