KANPUR: An 18-year-old girl working as a nurse at a private nursing home in Bangarmau area of Unnao was found hanging from the ceiling in the health facility on Saturday.
Her family members alleged that she was gang-raped and then killed by the nursing home operator and his aides. The girl, a resident of a village near Bangarmau, had gone to work at the nursing home on Friday. On Saturday, her mother was informed that her daughter had committed suicide by hanging herself at the nursing home.
The girl’s mother accused the nursing home operator and his aides of gang-raping and killing her daughter.
The girl’s mother filed a written complaint following which police registered a named FIR against the nursing home operator and two others, besides one unidentified person.
The body has been sent for post-mortem and the matter is being probed, said police officials.

When the complainant reached the nursing home, she saw her daughter’s body was still hanging from the ceiling with a rope, the ASP added.
“We have sent the body for post-mortem. The mother of the deceased has accused the operators of the nursing home, Noor Alam,
Chand Alam and
Anil Kumar, and an unidentified person, of gang-raping and killing her daughter, and then hanging her dead body. An FIR has been registered under IPC sections of gang rape and murder. We are conducting raids to arrest the accused,” the ASP added.
