NSK defeat Kanpur Superstars by 8 wickets

Kanpur: Noida Superkings defeated Kanpur Superstars by 8 wickets in the ongoing T-20 league match held at Green Park on Thursday. Noida Super Kings had outplayed Kanpur Superstars in the first/inaugural match too and now they have won five out of six matches so far and are leading in points table.   It was Kanpur team’s fourth defeat. Now, if they want to be in the race they have to win their remaining matches with a good margin so that in a tie they could obtain a better average.  Kanpur, after being invited to bat first, posted 7 for 165 runs in the stipulated 20 overs. International player Bhuvenshwar Kumar claimed three wickets and was adjudged as man of the match. Ansh Yadav (32), Sameer Rizvi (37), Akshadeep Nath (31) and Sandeep Tomar (40) were the main scorers. Bsides Bhuvneshwar, Kishan also bagged 2 wickets.   Noida Super Kings in response hit the required 166 runs for the loss of two wickets. Captain Nitish Rana hit unbeaten 86 runs for his team. Almas Shaukat too contributed 56 runs. He and Nitish executed 89 runs partnership for the second wicket. Vineet and Rishabh picked one wicket each.Lucknow Falcons outplayed Gorakhpur Lions by 10 wickets: Lucknow Falcons outplayed Gorakhpur Lions by 10 wickets in rain affected league match of T-20 league on Thursday. Green Park received late seasonal rains as a result the match was reduced to 8 overs in each innings. Gorakhpur Lions, deciding to bat first, scored 8 for 76. In reply, Lucknow Falcons hit 79 runs without losing any wicket. Shaurya and Harsh scored unbeaten 49 and 29 runs respectively.
