KANPUR: Six days after a woman and her 25-year-old son were murdered during a dacoity in Majhgawan village, the Bidhnoo police are still groping in the dark with no breakthrough in the case.
Quresha (65) and her 25-year-old son Mohammad Talha were found murdered at their house on May 11. The police suspect that robbery was the motive behind the murder, since cash and jewellery were found missing from the house.

The incident had come to light after Quresha's husband Safdar Ali, who had gone to attend a 'majlis', came home during the wee hours of Saturday.
SP (rural) Manoj Sonker said on Thursday that the police were verifying the call details of several persons and there was progress in the investigations. It will take some time to solve the case.
Once the role of the suspects is confirmed, they will be arrested.
Bidhnoo police said that cops have been zeroing in on criminals involved in theft and robbery cases for their suspected involvement and interrogation is still underway. "We have checked absconding criminals after they were arrested for various crimes and interrogated suspects in lock-ups. TNN
Sonker said the crime branch is also conducting parallel investigations to solve the murder case at the earliest.
