'National Productivity Week' from today

KANPUR: National Productivity Council (NPC) will observe its foundation day on February 12. The day is also observed as the National Productivity Day.
NPC works under the Union ministry of commerce and industry and aims to promote productivity in the country. NPC will also celebrate Productivity Week from February 12 to 18.
P R Upadhaya, director, NPC, said seminar, conferences, essay/quiz contests and series of lectures will be organised during the week.This year, the theme is 'Lean management for productivity enhancement'. NPC and Merchants' Chamber will organise an event on February 17. The Indian Industries Association (IIA) has also been involved. Harbhajan Singh, director general, NPC, New Delhi will attend the programme.
Speakers from IIT-Kanpur and other institutions will deliver lectures. A large number of delegates from industries, consultants, institutions, government departments and academicians are expected to participate.
