KANPUR: A 65-year-old man was hacked to death while three others, including his son, were critically injured by a gang of around six persons, allegedly over a property dispute in Rasoolabad area of Kanpur Dehat district on Tuesday.
According to the police, the victim identified as Chotey Lal, a resident of Jyodi village in Rasoolabad area, arrived to plough his field on Tuesday morning, when he entered into in altercation with his relative Ahibaran, who raised objection when Chotey Lal tried to plough a portion of land, which as per him was a passage.

Amar Singh and Dharam Pl Singh following a heated exchange. Chotey Lal succumbed to his injuries on the spot. Police said a case of murder was registered against Ahibaran and others who are absconding.
