Kanpur: An FIR was lodged on Sunday by four victims, including two doctors, at Sadar police station against mega-fraudster Ravindranath Soni for duping them of approximately Rs 9.44 crore.
The victims were originally from Ahmedabad and Jamnagar in Gujarat and Ranchi in Jharkhand. They were living with their families in Dubai for several years.

The police station sent the documents against the alleged fraudster to the DCP eastern office, after which all documents may be sent to ED by Monday.
The number of cases against Soni, a resident of Malviyanagar in Delhi, was continuously increasing. On Saturday, Manikandan Rajgopal, a resident of Kolathur Madanmakuppam road, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, filed a case of fraud of Rs 98,44,100 against Soni and Gurneet Kaur.
On Sunday, Dr Avesh Ashok Pataria from Anand district of Gujarat, living in Dubai, reached Sadar police station. Pataria said Soni and his associates cheated him of Rs 2,56,78,758 in the name of making investment in Blue-chip Commercial Broker Company.
Similarly, Prahlad Prasad, originally from Jamnagar, working in an IT company in Dubai, accused Soni of a fraud of Rs 4,89,11,920; Nidhi Vijay Mehta from Ahmedabad of Rs 1,22,27,980; and Dr Pulak Puneet, originally from Ranchi district of Jharkhand, living in Dubai, of cheating of Rs 76,25,746 in the name of investment.
All victims filed a zero FIR by giving a complaint at Sadar police station. ACP police station, Ashutosh Singh said, "Whatever FIRs were filed will be transferred to police stations of respective districts. Investigation of those victims will be done from there. Cooperation sought by the police station concerned will be provided from here."
