Diwali draws near, those selling illegal firecrackers are becoming more active. On Tuesday, a substantial amount of prohibited firecrackers was seized from a guest house located in the Farrukhabad district. The police confiscated the firecrackers and initiated an investigation into the matter. Former corporator Purushottam Verma was allegedly involved in the incident that took place in the Mau Darwaza area.
The police and SOG team conducted a raid on the residence of his nephews, Ravi and Setty. During the raid, a significant quantity of illegal firecrackers was seized from their home. Following this, police proceeded to Purushottam Verma's guest house, where they recovered additional illegal firecrackers. At former corporator's guest house, police apprehended three minors who were engaged in the production of firecrackers. The police are currently questioning these individuals. TNN
