Maha defeat UP in Women’s U-19 One-Day Trophy match
Kanpur: Siddhi Mishra's impressive five-wicket haul went in vain as Maharashtra outplayed Uttar Pradesh by five wickets in a Women's Under-19 One Day Trophy match at the Railway Ground here on Sunday.Chasing a target of 207 runs, Maharashtra achieved the total for the loss of five wickets with 2.3 overs to spare. She first shared a vital 89-run partnership with Akshaya for the fourth wicket. Openers Riya and Shashi gave UP a steady start with a 31-run opening stand, but the team then lost wickets at regular intervals and slumped to 91 for six.Saanvi steadied the innings along with Chandani, adding 87 runs for the seventh wicket in 133 balls. Chandani was run out after scoring 23 runs off 77 balls.
