KANPUR: The special metropolitan magistrate first Kanpur nagar JP Agrawal on Wednesday issued a contempt notice to the complainant Kamlesh Kumar Jaiswal and asked him to explain why he should not be punished for his act.
Kamlesh Kumar Jaiswal has been charged by the accused Ashok Shah, a resident of Surat district in Ahmedabad that he along with some advocates had thrashed him in the court room when he was under court's custody.

Kamlesh Kumar Jaiswal had initiated a case under Negotiable Instrument Act (cheque bouncing) against Ashok Shah and Shah had appeared in the court for his bail when the court had issued non-bailable warrant and attachment of property process against him.
The judicial official inquired about the incident thereafter asked to handover Ashok Shah to GRP Kanpur Central.
