LPG-run car catches fire

KANPUR: An LPG driven car went up in flames in Cantt area on Saturday. No one was hurt in the mishap.
According to reports, the incident was a result of gas leakage from the cylinder installed in the car. The defence personnel, who was driving the car, and his spouse escaped unhurt. The incident took place at 9.30 am when S Shreedhar and his wife Jaya Lakshmi were heading towards Bada Chauraha by car.Suddenly the car caught fire and was charred in no time. According to Shreedhar, the incident took place when he tried switching over to petrol from gas.
