A sudden rise in temperature on Sunday forced locals to put aside their woollens.The maximum temperature recorded in the day was 27.6 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature also rose to 12.2 degrees Celsius.

KANPUR: A sudden rise in temperature on Sunday forced locals to put aside their woollens. The maximum temperature recorded in the day was 27.6 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature also rose to 12.2 degrees Celsius. The humidity level too reached 90% in the morning hours, but declined to 53% in the afternoon due to clear sky.
The weather experts at Chandra Shekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology said that mercury would not dip for at least a couple of days.

"Though the wind direction is normal at present, the northern region from where the wind comes is yet not cold enough to dip the temperature," said C B Singh, a weather scientist at CSA varsity. He added that there have been a few disturbances in the weather pattern. As a result, the chill in the air is yet to be felt.
