Labour Day: Financial assistance disbursed to beneficiaries

Kanpur: On the occasion of International Labour Day, the district administration disbursed financial assistance to the beneficiaries of various labour schemes in a function held at Naveen auditorium here on Friday.

The programme commenced with an online address by the UP chief minister, which was heard by the workers present. During the event, workers from both the organized and unorganized sectors were also felicitated.

Under the Jyotiba Phule Shramik Kanyadan Yojana, Rs 51,000 was provided to Rambabu, Nidhi Shukla, Kayam Singh, Mahesh Chand, and Rajendra Kumar. Meanwhile, under the Technical Education Assistance Scheme, financial aid of Rs 25,000 was extended to the children of Ved Prakash Mishra and Ashok Jha.

Additionally, under the Shishu evam Balika Madad Yojana (Child and Girl Child Assistance Scheme), financial assistance of ₹31,000 and ₹26,000 was provided to five beneficiaries among unorganized workers. Furthermore, benefits were distributed for the education of workers’ children under the Sant Ravidas Shiksha Sahayata Yojana (Sant Ravidas Education Assistance Scheme.

Anil Dixit, BJP district president (North), was present at the program as the chief guest. ADM City Rajesh Kumar and other districts were present on the occasion.
