KDMA drubs Winners Club at KDMA A Div league
Kanpur: Adarsh Singh’s unbeaten century helped KDMA outplay Winners club by 40 runs in KDMA A division league match held here at PAC ground, on Saturday.KDMA’s batting first hit 4 for 238 runs in 29 overs. Adarsh Singh (111 no) and Rishabh Mishra (62) were main scorers. Suraj bagged 1 wicket for 30 runs. Winners club in reply could collect 198 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in stipulated overs. Sarvan Jaiswal and Harshwardhan scored 64 and 53 runs, respectively. Hyderabad outplayed Kanpur by 2-0 in the second semi-final and Bhopal had defeated Jaipur by 4-0 in the first semi final. Four zonal teams are participating in this event. Against Kanpur’s Susheel, Vaibhav of Hyderabad scored goals on 47th and 52 nd minutes. Against Jaipurm, Javed scored a brace for Bhopal team. Agnish and Atul also scored one goal each for the winners.Taekwondo— Pranav Ojha of Kanpur won a bronze medal in All India Inter SAI taekwondo championship being held at IG stadium in New Delhi from February 24. Pranav had won bronze in the junior boys group.Football trial—The selection trials for the UP senior women football team will be held at Eklavya Stadium, Agra on March 2 and 3. The selected team will participate in the Senior Women Football championship slated to be held from March 20. According to Ajeet Singh, secretary, District Football Association, interested players should contact to Asif Iqbal, Pradeep Mishra and DB Thapa. They should bring their birth certificate, high school marksheet, Covid certificate and AIFF registration form with three colour photographs with them. After the trials, a coaching camp will be organized at Agra Stadium from March 4 to 18, he added.
