KCA beat Unnao Cricket Association by 128 runs, win cricket championship

Kanpur: Adesh's fine knock of 86 runs and Zeban Ansari's six wicket haul helped Kanpur Cricket Association XI beat Unnao Cricket Association team by 128 runs and won Yadunath Singh Somvanshi memorial state-level cricket championship which concluded at Brahmadatta Dwivedi stadium Fatehgarh on Wednesday.
KCA XI, batting first, scored 261 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in 25 overs.Adesh Kumar hammered 86 runs in 58 balls plundering 5 boundaries and 6 sixes. Satnam Singh too displayed explosive batting and scored 48 runs in 20 balls hitting 3 boundaries and 5 sixes. Mohd Nabi of Unnao picked 3 wickets conceding 56 runs. Unnao XI in reply could collect 133 runs. Zeba Ansari caused the maximum damage claiming 6 wickets for 32 runs. Sahil Salim scored 30 runs for Unnao. After the final, chief guest Yaduveer Singh, director UPCA and Mohd Faheem vice-president gave away prizes and trophies to the winner and runner up teams.

KDMA league: Rolland Club drubbed Avero Club by 7 wickets and earned full points in the KDMA league match held at the Bhatt ground on Wednesday,
Putting into bat, Avero Club scored 131 runs while Rolland Club hit the required runs for the loss of 3 wickets in 21.3 overs.

JNT U-12 cricket: Sigma Griplock XI outplayed Balmol XI by 3 runs in the first eliminator match and moved into the semi-final of JNT Under-12 cricket championship being played here. They will clash with DKG Mobile XI in the semi-final. Sigma Griplock XI after being invited to bat posted a sound total of 2 for 195 runs in 25 overs. Pranav Chadha and Yuvraj Singh executed a 129 runs partnership. Yuraj scored 72 runs while Pranav Chadha hit 68 runs. Balmol XI in reply missed the target by just 3 runs when the team could collect 5 for 192 runs in 25 overs. Amrit Sachan and Utkarsh Dwivedi hit 81 and 60 runs respectively.
There was a time when it appeared that Balmol XI will book berth for semi-final but the two run outs including Utkarsh Dwivedi changed the course of the match and Balmol lost the match by a narrow margin. Bharat Agnihotri presented player of the match award to Pranav Chadha.
