Kanpur to clash with Meerut in final of Deen Dayal Upadhyaya cricket

Kanpur: Kanpur will clash with Meerut in the final of Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya state-level senior men cricket championship on Wednesday. Kanpur in the first semi-final outplayed Azamgarh by 54 runs and Meerut in another semi-final humbled Agra by 6 wickets at the Green Park stadium.
Kanpur, after being invited to bat, scored 6 for 170 runs in 20 overs.Kuldeep and Sagar Sharma were the highest scorers who had scored 28 runs each. Azamgarh in reply collected 116 runs in the stipulated 20 overs. Opener Vaibhav (34) was the main scorer for Azamgarh. Agra against Meerut decided to bat first and posted a total of 107 runs. Shantanu scored the highest 21 runs for his side. For Meerut, Hardeep bagged 4 wickets for 24 runs. Meerut in reply scored the required runs for the loss of 4 wickets. Abhishek Thakur hit 42 runs.

State-level TT-Kanpur boys bagged third place after defeating Prayagraj by 3-1 in the state- level Men and Women Table Tennis championship which concluded at Ahilyabai Holkar sports stadium Aligarh on Tuesday.
Satyam, Satwik Kapoor, Subrat and Deepak were the members of the Kanpur boys team. Satyam and Subrat outplayed Hardik and Shubham in the doubles event and emerged as runner up. Subrat also won the runners up title in singles event after losing to Divyansh of Lucknow in finals. Sanjeev Pathak, Geeta Tandon, Ashish Kapoor, Sunil Singh, Ashutosh Satyam Jha and others congratulated the Kanpur team for its success.
