Kanpur boy tops State Entrance Exam

Several city students passed with flying colours in the State Entrance Exam (SEE)-2013, the results of which were declared on Tuesday afternoon.

KANPUR: Several city students passed with flying colours in the State Entrance Exam (SEE)-2013, the results of which were declared on Tuesday afternoon. The SEE was conducted by the GautamBuddh Technical University, Lucknow.
Akashdeep, a native of Hamirpur district, topped the state in SEE in the B Tech stream. He lives in a rented accommodation in the city for his studies.

Akashdeep's father Ramprakash Gupta is a school teacher in Hamirpur while his mother, Sunita is a housewife. Akashdeep wishes to pursue engineering in Computer science and to study in IIT.
His father told him about the result. Akashdeep, who was not expecting to top in the state and was overjoyed after the SEE results were declared.
Akashdeep told TOI that he cleared JEE-Mains with a score of 280 out of 360 and was now preparing for JEE Advanced scheduled to be held on June 2. He has been a brilliant student since his school days. Earlier also he had made his parents proud by scoring 90% in class XII and 85%in class X in UP Boards.
The city has produces several excellent results in the MCA stream also. Out of the topmost five positions, four were bagged by the city students. Sangeet Kumar, a native of Etawah emerged as topper in SEE-2013 from MCA stream while in MBA, Ashish Awasthi of Barra topped in the state.
Akansha Mishra emerged as the topper among girls in the state in MCA stream. She said she wanted to pursue MCA from the Hartcourt Butler Technological Institute (HBTI). She was followed by Monika Gupta and Neha Purwar who bagged second and third positions, respectively. Neha Purwar, who secured third position in the state in MCA stream, said she wanted to take admission in the National Institute of Technology.Harpreet Singh, son of Surjeet Singh, of Ashok Nagar secured second rank in SEE-2013 in MCA course in the state. Other meritorious students, Arpit Gupta secured third, Alok Singh secured fifth and Payal secured seventh position in the state.
Raju Gond, secured first position in SEE-2013 in MCA course in the SC category. Raju, of Kushinagar said that he wished to take admission in NIT for pursuing MCA and wanted to be an ethical hacker in future. His father works in Dhanbad coal mines and was very happy on his son's achievement.
