Kanpur Bar Association president Ramendra Singh Katiyar said that these lawyers have taken possession of chambers constructed by the KBA illegally. Their act amounts to misconduct.
KBA had issued notices twice to them and pasted copies of notices at the illegally occupied chambers but they not responded so far.
The executive committee discussed the issue and took a decision to expel them on November 22, 2012 and January 11, 2013. And finally it was decided to debar them from membership of KBA and apprise the Bar Council of UP for appropriate action, Katiyar said.
