on homeground is businessman Naveen Kool, who believes that watching a match after buying a ticket is no fun. “Ticket le kar match toh koi bhi dekh sakta hai par passes sirf jugaad se hi milte hain. Since the match date is close, I have started calling all my contacts for passes to the game.I’m sure kahin na kahin se kuchh passes ka jugaad toh ho hi jayega,” he says.
Agrees Kapil Sinha, a BPO employee in Noida, who will be coming over the weekend to Kanpur on the match days. “I have asked my cousin to manage a pass for me. With a pass one has the advantage of getting seated in a VIP area where watching the game is more exciting,” says Kapil.

has also started making calls to get passes for the match. “Getting passes for a match is a status symbol in the city, if someone has the pass, that means that person has good connections. That’s why I have requested some of my high profile friends to arrange passes for me for the match.”
Meanwhile, Salman Khan, a businessman who’s hosted international cricket teams in his home in the past, and also several Indian team cricketers, has been getting innumerable calls for passes. “A lot of my friends in Kanpur know that I know many cricketers in person. Previously, I used to get passes from them as a friendly gesture which I used to give to my acquaintances but this time meeting the cricketers will be impossible as they are playing in the bio-bubble and will not be allowed to meet anyone. Now, when I also can’t meet them, how can I arrange for passes for others? My friends say please get us passes, but I don’t know how I can get them,” he says.

official informs, “No one in Kanpur wants to buy match tickets. Sabko jugaad wale passes chahiye. I am already getting a number of calls these days for the passes. But frankly managing passes for this match is impossible.”
