Host Kanpur Superstars to clash with Noida Superkings in T-20 match today
Kanpur: An interesting tussle is on the cards as host Kanpur Superstars will clash with Noida Super Kings in the inaugural match of UP T-20 league to be held at Green Park on Wednesday.Both the teams have some star players and they will rely heavily on them. Kanpur Superstars have Akshdeep Nath as a reliable batsman while Ankit Rajput will lead the attack with white ball. Sameer Rizvi, Adarsh Singh and Ansh Yadav are good with willow and are able to gear up the scoring rate.On the other hand, Noida Superkings have Nitish Rana, a migrated player from Delhi and international medium fast bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar. They will rely on Nitish Rana, Samarth Singh, Almas Shaukat and Prashant Veer on batting while in bowling Saurabh Kumar, Kunal Tyagi are well known bowlers in their rank. UP captain Akshdeep Nath, expressing full faith in his players said they were talented and capable of turning the table. Nitish Rana on the other hand said that his team would enter into the bowl with an aim to win, and all players would put their best to register a win." My team is balanced and the members are eager to prove their worth, " he added.Green Park wicket is ready to host as many as 33 matches, said curator Shiv Kumar. Talking to TOI, he said three pitches have been finalised and matches will be played on them. Wickets have some little grass and a very little moisture. Teams could score around 200 runs in those wickets, he added. Talking about bowlers he stated that they have to bowl cleverly and with mind to contain the batsmen from scoring runs.
