Heavy rainfall turns evening pleasant

KANPUR: The rainfall on Sunday morning gave a pleasant weather to the people to enjoy the weekend. It rained heavily, contrary to the predictions of isolated showers made by meteorologists.
After touching the mark of 36 degrees in the ongoing monsoon season, the mercury took a sudden dip and stood at 28 degrees Celsius. The minimum temperature was 24.8 degrees.
According to the weather scientists of Chandra Shekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology, the rains occurred due to simultaneous changes in wind directions and anti-cyclonic conditions developed by the temperature fluctuations in the recent days. They predicted heavy rains in the days to come.
Weather scientist of CSA C B Singh said that chances of heavy rainfall are there and the rainy season may reach its peak soon. There are less chances for the rise in temperature.
The market areas and parks were full of people, enjoying the pleasant weather after a long time. A huge rush was witnessed at the main crossings and streets of the city.
