Four arrested for looting DCM truck in Bidhnoo area

Four

persons were arrested on Monday for looting a consignment of hide worth Rs 26 lakh from a DCM truck on February 21 night in Bidhnoo police area of the district.

. “The arrests were made on the basis of electronic surveillance. They have been booked under relevant sections of IPC and sent to jail,” said SSP

The miscreants had administered DCM driver some sedative injection following which he was knocked out of senses. They had thereafter unloaded the consignment of shoe soles and dumped the DCM driver in a roadside ditch. An FIR was lodged later by police based on the complaint by the truck driver, Dilip.

According to police, the robbery had taken place at Yashoda Nagar flyover on February 21 night when the truck was headed from the Jajmau, Chakeri to companies located in Delhi, Noida and Haryana with a consignment of shoe soles.

Bidhnoo police had lodged an FIR against four unidentified car-borne men under sections 392 (robbery), 394 (voluntarily causing hurt in committing robbery) of IPC and launched an investigation.
