Fortnight long Military-Civil Fusion Abhiyaan concludes in Jhansi & Babina

Jhansi: The Indian Army organised a series of fortnight-long activities starting from March 1 under the Military-Civil Fusion Abhiyaan at Jhansi and Babina, under the aegis of the White Tiger Division. Various departments of the civil administration, along with Army units, participated with the aim of strengthening coordination among them. The programme concluded on Sunday.During the period, several activities were undertaken to enhance inter-agency coordination and reinforce cooperation among the participating organisations. A joint patrolling activity was undertaken in the Babina field firing range area, in which officials from the police, forest and mining departments also participated.Likewise, a rear area security exercise was conducted to strengthen preparedness and validate joint response mechanisms during contingencies. These activities included the establishment of joint check posts and coordinated drills involving military and civil agencies, aimed at enhancing synergy and improving collective response during emergency situations.As part of capacity-building efforts and technological awareness, a drone familiarisation and training programme was organised for personnel from various security agencies, including the Border Security Force, Central Industrial Security Force and the police force. The programme focused on promoting awareness of emerging technologies and their potential applications in surveillance, disaster response and public safety.During the drive, a seminar was organised covering themes such as health awareness, women empowerment, stress management, nutrition and educational opportunities. Experts from academic and professional fields interacted with participants and shared valuable insights. Children were also introduced to the basics of drone technology.According to one of the organising officers, "The activity underscored the importance of coordinated efforts and effective information sharing among various agencies in ensuring security and efficient area management, while fostering a collaborative approach towards security, disaster response and community welfare."
