KANPUR: The district magistrate had given instructions for registering an FIR against 21 people who remained absent from duty during counting of votes on July 7.
The FIR would be registered against Gyan Singh, joint director agriculture, Deshraj Singh, executive engineer, Kanpur municipal corporation, Amit Gupta, assistant engineer, public works department, Radhey Shyam, KDA employee, Mohammad Shafiq of Malaria department, SR Roy, teacher at government polytechnic, Jageshwar, an employee of ITI, Surendra Yadav of ITI, Motilal, Vijay Sachan, Haider Ali and Cheddi Lal of Malaria department, Rajkumar Chaudhary of labour department, Ramkrishna Shukla and others.These government employees were not present and gave no reason for absence.
